Bhutan Exporters association is a Non-Government organization established in 2003 under the umbrella of Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The Association was formed initially with 20 (twenty) members exporter under the chairmanship of late Dasho Tshewang Penjor. The Association presently has more than 150 members headed by the President under the guidance of Executive committee members. The head office is located at Phuentsholing, PWD colony, Ghaki Lam, Post Box No. 256 Lotay Building, Flat No.10
Bhutan exporters Association before its inception in 2003 had come all way through early eighties, by then the export of Bhutanese products are done by the Indian traders to Bangladesh. The first Export of Mandarin and Apple by State Trading Corporation of Bhutan Limited (STCBL) and Food Corporation of Bhutan (FCB) was initiated in late eighties. Later the export of Bhutanese products to third countries was taken over by the Bhutan/Bangladesh Friendship Association under the management of Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industries from mid nineties till 2003.
